Each bay is monitored by a sensor which detects the presence of a vehicle. A ceiling fixed indicator light (one for each bay) is illuminated when its space is vacant and when the sensor detects a vehicle the light is automatically turned off.
In simplest terms it is a system for pinpointing vacant spaces in multi-storey car parks and together with a networked signage system, directing motorists quickly and easily to them.
